Hans Rausing

Hans Rausing (born 15 June 1953) is a Swedish philanthropist and son of Hans Rausing and Märit Rausing. His late father, Professor Hans Rausing KBE, was an industrialist and entrepreneur who from 1950 to 1995 held the roles as CEO and chairman of Tetra Pak, the global food packaging group.

Hans grew up in Sweden and then England, with his two older sisters’ Lisbet and Sigrid. He has dedicated his life to philanthropy and co-founded The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust, which has donated over £200 million across more than 220 grants to good causes in the UK and further afield.

The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust provides funding for charities in three broad sectors: Health and Wellbeing; Welfare and Education; and Arts and Culture.

The Trust aims to foster a healthy society that gives care to those in need, provides opportunity for all, and offers inspiring cultural engagement.

Hans is married to Julia Delves-Broughton (m. 2014) and spends his time between Gloucestershire and London. He has four children from his first marriage with Eva Kemeny (m. 1992).
